The utterly unobstructed and meteoric rise of Brown's chapter of the Pen15 Club was punctuated last Thursday by the Student Activities Office's approval of the group as a Category Three organization. This approval grants the club, and its president Han Sanders '09, over four thousand dollars in "social funding."

After emerging from relative obscurity, the club gained viral popularity at Brown on a platform of creative ink use and penmanship. Members and supporters were urged to emblazon the club name "all the heck over their faces and visible extremities."

SAO Director Ricky Gresh is ecstatic about the club's popularity. "These kids are just wild about Pen15," he explained, a thick "PEN15" in Sharpie block letters printed on his forehead.

"We read the group's constitution and found it a bit vague, but eventually we just said, 'Hey, let's go for it!' This is just not the type of thing you want to cut off."

"This recognition is a major coup for us." explained Sanders in a statement following the generous funding approval. "We applaud Mr. Gresh for his steadfast support of our club. We plan to use the majority of the funding from UFB to send him to the birthplace of the club, Pen Island."
