Thomas Paul '12 was deemed "Biggest Indie Snob" in his high school yearbook. His iTunes library includes over 10,000 songs from such obscure bands as "So Last Week" and "Too Fat for Ballet."

A few days ago, however, Thomas suffered a terrifying realization - he had run out of esoteric music to play.

"The other day, I put on my skinny jeans, cardigan, and checkered Vans, and decided to listen to my iPod. It was then that I realized I had already listened to everything in my music library," said Paul.

Eli George '12, Thomas's roommate, said that his epiphany was difficult to behold.

"Tom's so proud of his indie music - and when I say indie, I don't mean Radiohead or anything like that. He only listens to music that no one's ever heard of, so he can feel superior to everyone else," said George.

"I needed to take some sort of action," Paul explained. "I was so sick of everything on my iPod, so I decided to download a song I heard at a party once - 'One More Time'."

When George heard Paul listening to the popular song from the electronic duo Daft Punk, he became nervous for his roommate's wellbeing.

"Tom depends so much on his persona as an 'indie snob.' I'm worried that he'll lose himself. First he'll listen to Daft Punk, Kanye, then Justin Timberlake, and then what? Miley Cyrus?" said George.

Regardless of his roommate's fears, Paul does not seem to think the newest addition to his music library will ruin his future.

"I liked 'One More Time,'" Paul admitted, slightly ashamed. "After I listened to it for the first time, I listened to it one more time, and then one more time after that. I think I'll probably listen to it more than one more time in the future, as well."
